I thought I had drawn 32 pages of rough illustrations to complete the dummy for my picture book, but when my husband scanned and printed them he told me there were 31. My happy balloon deflated a little. I'm in the process of drawing the missing page, but so far it's not working for me. It's close, though so I can celebrate that.
The novel I've been working on for at least a couple years is moving along at a snail's pace, but lately I've been getting good ideas for parts that I was stuck on. It's taking me in different directions like building a sculpture out of clay. You add, you take away, you mold and shape. I'm finding it hard to cut unncessary characters or elements. Part of me hopes that something brilliant will come to me to keep them in the book. It will be so great when one day everything falls into place. *sigh*
