Celebrate The Small Things - Feb. 20, 2015

This week I did some model sheets of my characters to make sure I'm consistent when I draw them for my picture book. I've never done a model sheet before. I was sure it was going to be boring, so I let out a big sigh before I even put pencil to paper, but it wasn't so bad after all. It was actually kind of fun.

This is Brock. His bangs used to be longer, but I thought I'd give him shorter hair to see how it looks:

This is baby Caesar. I changed his look on the bottom row which I like better than the watermelon-shaped head on the top row.
 This is Pappy:
The two older siblings are going to play hide-and-seek, but baby Caesar foils their plans with a noisy water bottle.

What are you celebrating?

  1. I LOVE all of your drawings!! And I like the rounded head on baby Ceasar more too...less Family Guy-ish :) btw...the first time I read it as baby "Chester"...I have no clue why :)

  2. Very cool! I do all sorts of things to get into characters. I love your work!
