Celebrate The Small Things - For 1.23.15

I wasn't able to post last Friday because I was out for the count from the flu. This one hit me pretty hard. Headaches, body aches, chills, coughing. My skin hurt. The one blessing is that I wasn't sneezing or stuffed up. My youngest son got it, then the next day it hit the rest of us. Luckily my husband bought $40 worth of Thai chicken coconut soup on the way home from work to last us a couple of days. Our household was filled with a cacophony of coughs all week. We used all the Kleenex boxes in the house. My youngest one reverted to primal survival instinct and swiped a Kleenex box from my work room and hid it in his bed. We didn't mind that much because his nose was the worst out of all of us.

So, I'm celebrating the fact that I survived the flu.

I was about to add something about Ebola, the flu, the pharmaceutical companies, and "the powers that be," but it was too un-PC, so I just deleted it. lol ;o)

Have a safe, healthy week.

What are you celebrating?

  1. Hello, Kimberly, hope you're feeling better. Have a nice weekend.

  2. not sure, if the comment I just posted went through - glad you are okay - blessings

  3. Kimberly - I am so glad things are better your way. I had that stuff and it's more than awful. I cannot imagine an entire household down with it. Nothing like a health celebration.

I apologize for missing your post! (smile)

  4. You poor thing - you and your family sound so down and out with that miserable flu. I hope everyone recovers soon. Buy more take-out food, and have a good weekend!

  5. Good morning, dear Kimberly! I'm glad you survived the flu and posted your celebration! Keep taking the Tylenol, pushing fluids, yada yada yada...flu is a knockout that keeps on giving.
