So far so good on day 2 of Camp NaNoWriMo. I'm combining 2-3 ideas I had into 1 story. I have a partial outline going since I was started it the day before CNNWM started.
I'm very excited about my story and am finding that I am able to write a lot very quickly because if it. This is different from my approach to my first novel where I spent a lot of time on my outline and wasn't quite sure about my ending.
Even though I knew I shouldn't have been editing as I typed, it was hard not to for my first novel. This time I am just writing like the wind and will hook different parts together later. We'll see how this approach goes. lol
My first book was a simple romance, but I found it much harder to come up with interesting things to happen in it.
The book I am writing now is much more complicated, yet easier to write. Strange. It is so involved that I probably will have to split it into 2 or 3 books. The title I have for it so far is The Residents of Wolfhelm Mansion. It has to do with human genetic engineering, the supernatural, aliens, projects the Nazis were working on, autistic children, and somewhere in there, romance. ;o)
